What changes after this module

Managers leave with three real workflows redesigned, tested with AI tools, costed, and ready to deploy, plus a repeatable method and a measurement framework to keep going.

Who should attend

Middle managers. Intermediate: regular AI users.

Programme

This agenda is indicative. Content, sequencing, and examples are adapted to your team's context, tools, and objectives.

Before you start

  • Two documented processes (or willingness to map them live)
  • Volume and time estimates for each
  • Access to the tools those processes run on
  • E2 or equivalent baseline
Day 19:00–10:30Process mining for AI opportunities: Finding the real automation candidates in your team’s workMapping current-state workflows, time-value analysis (where the hours actually go), and spotting the high-frequency, high-friction steps.
Hands-onEach manager maps two current-state workflows and runs a time-value analysis to rank steps by hours consumed and pain, surfacing the best candidates.
10:30–10:45 · ☕ Coffee break
Day 110:45–12:30AI-first workflow design: Redesign principles and the “AI does / Human reviews / Human decides” framework applied properlyChoosing the right ecosystem tool () per step, and where a human checkpoint is non-negotiable.
Hands-onGuided walkthrough: the group redesigns one shared example workflow end-to-end together, so everyone has the method before applying it solo.
12:30–13:30 · 🍽 Lunch break
Day 113:30–15:30Hands-on: redesign workflow #1: First full solo redesign of a real workflow, built and tested live.
Hands-onEach manager takes a real workflow, maps current state, designs the AI-augmented version, and tests it live in the client’s tools, producing a working v1.
15:30–15:45 · ☕ Coffee break
Day 115:45–17:00Business case per workflow: Making it fundable and credible: time saved, quality change, risk, and costAvoiding the “looks good on dummy data” trap.
Hands-onManagers build a one-page business case for workflow #1: before/after time, quality and risk notes, and the net benefit.
Day 29:00–11:00Hands-on: redesign workflow #2: Repetition builds the muscle: a second full redesign at real depth, with cross-team peer review to catch blind spots.
Hands-onEach manager redesigns a second real workflow to a tested v1, then runs a structured peer review of a colleague’s redesign, giving and receiving specific fixes.
11:00–11:15 · ☕ Coffee break
Day 211:15–12:30Hands-on: workflow #3 sprint: The third rep, fasterWith the method now in the muscle, a timed sprint takes workflow #3 from map to tested v1: the pace that proves the method is yours, not the trainer’s.
Hands-onTimed sprint: each manager maps, redesigns, and live-tests their third workflow in 75 minutes, then logs what the speed cost, and what it didn’t.
12:30–13:30 · 🍽 Lunch break
Day 213:30–14:45Change management per workflow: A redesigned workflow nobody adopts is worthlessStakeholder impact, training needs, rollout sequence, and a fallback plan for each.
Hands-onManagers complete a rollout plan for their top workflow: who’s affected, the training they need, the sequence, and the fallback if it fails.
14:45–15:00 · ☕ Coffee break
Day 215:00–16:15Measurement framework: Proving it worked and keeping it improvingKPIs per workflow, before/after baselines, a simple dashboard, and a continuous-improvement loop.
Hands-onEach manager defines the KPI set and baseline for their three workflows and sketches the dashboard they’ll actually review.
Day 216:15–17:00Implementation roadmap: Sequencing deployment across the three workflows: priorities, dependencies, and resources.
Hands-onManagers assemble a prioritised implementation roadmap and present it in trios for challenge.

Deliverables

  • Three redesigned workflows (tested v1s)
  • Workflow business-case template (one completed)
  • Per-workflow rollout plan
  • Workflow measurement framework + dashboard sketch
  • Prioritised implementation roadmap
